Why WSCC

Why WSCC

It’s no secret we’re the natural choice for the Northwest’s biggest moments. What may surprise you is why.

It begins with our location. The Washington State Convention Center is in the heart of Seattle and within walking distance to world-class hotels, restaurants, entertainment and waterfront attractions.

Next, you’ll love what comes out of our kitchen: unique, regional dishes, made from scratch with locally sourced produce, seafood, and meats. Think of it as having one of Seattle’s finest restaurants devoted exclusively to the tastes of your guests, morning, noon and night.

For such a big venue, we pay attention to the little things. Count on us to orchestrate the dozens of personal touches you and your guests will appreciate, from customized menus and audiovisual, to room sets and environmental sustainability.

Come find out for yourself why your event belongs at WSCC.

Emergency Response

Emergency Response

In the event of a medical emergency, please contact Security Control immediately. You may contact Security Control by dialing 5127 from any house phone located in the facility. In addition, there are red “hot line” phones located around the facility. These phones ring directly into the Security Control office.

Your Event Manager or any uniformed WSCC personnel with a two-way radio can also assist you in an emergency. Contacting Security Control will greatly minimize response time in the event an emergency medical unit needs to report to the WSCC. Security personnel can quickly assess the situation, and bring emergency personnel directly to the individual in need, saving precious minutes. For this reason, WSCC requests that our clients and guests NOT contact 911 directly.

Event Staffing

Event Staffing

All catering, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's), electrical services, telecommunications, connectivity, and air/water/drain connections are exclusive services of the Center. Should you choose an outside vendor, the built-in house sound system can be used for a nominal fee and will be operated by our preferred provider. The use fee covers the sound system, the first microphone, and connection to the house system for centralized recording of sessions on Levels 4 and 6.
