
Center Welcomes Erwin Vidallon as CFO
The Center is pleased to welcome Erwin Vidallon to the position of Chief Financial Officer. His first day is September 16.
About Erwin:
He comes to us from the YMCA of Greater Seattle serving as their SVP/Chief Financial Officer since January of 2022. Erwin provided leadership, oversight, and direction of finance and accounting, real estate development, procurement and contracts management, information technology, and risk management operations. He was responsible for developing and executing the financial strategies ($120M annual budget) to meet the vision and mission of the YMCA and serving as the senior advisor to the CEO on strategic matters and organizational management.
Erwin has more than 25 years of financial and administrative leadership experience in the public finance, pension investment, and non-profit industries. Prior to his arrival to YGS, he spent 4.5 years at the Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma where he served as the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer, managing a biennial operating budget of $204M. Erwin’s team consisted of Budget and Finance, Accounting, Risk & Safety Management, Emergency Preparedness, Procurement, Capital Financing, Human Resources, Contracts Management, Compliance and Auditing Management, and Information Technology.
Erwin has extensive leadership roles in state government:
- He served as chief financial officer for the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, where he managed a $125.7 million biennial operating budget and a $46.9 million capital budget.
- Erwin also provided leadership in different capacities with the Washington State Investment Board, first as the Finance and Budget Director, then as an Investment Officer in the Real Estate division where he was responsible for underwriting, negotiating, and closing on diverse real estate pension investment opportunities domestically and internationally.
- He also served as Chief Financial Officer for Western State Hospital, planning and directing the development of the hospital’s operating and capital biennium budgets.
Erwin holds his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Organizational Behavior from The Evergreen State College.
